Agency: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up to launch his campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Bihar. The inaugural rally at Raman Maidan in Bettiah on January 13 is expected to mark the beginning of his efforts. This visit is not just about political addresses; PM Modi is anticipated to play a role in the development of Bihar by inaugurating and laying foundation stones for various projects, including vital infrastructure like roads and bridges.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has laid out a comprehensive plan to secure victory in all 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. Key figures like PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President JP Nadda are scheduled to address numerous rallies in the state during January and February. The major rallies are planned post-January 15 when campaigning restrictions are lifted.
Bihar’s political landscape has undergone a transformation with the BJP now in the opposition, and the Janata Dal United (JDU) forming part of the Mahagathbandhan government. Nitish Kumar, aligning with opposition leaders, aims to defeat the BJP in the upcoming 2024 general elections. The battle is set for all 40 Lok Sabha seats, where the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured 39 seats in the last elections, with the Congress winning one.
As Narendra Modi takes charge of the BJP’s campaign, the party has entrusted the state organization to leader Samrat Choudhary. The political scenario in Bihar is building up for a significant electoral showdown, with both major alliances vying for dominance in the crucial state.
