Union Min of Tribal Affairs to grace Thadou’sbiggest cultural festival ‘Hun’ in Kpi

KANGPOKPI: Manipur’s largest tribe the Thadou will celebrate its biggest cultural festival Hun at Kangpokpi District Headquarters on April 18 and 19, 2023.
According to the Hun Festival Organizing Committee Chairman, Dr. Ngamkhohao Haokip, the mega event will be graced by a Union Minister from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India apart from a host of dignitaries including the state Chief Minister N. Biren Singh.
He said that showcasing traditional ritual performances and folk dances in its pure traditional form, display of traditional dresses and artifacts, traditional games, etc. shall be the daytime main attractions while Miss and Mister Thadou contest with attractive cash prizes and modern musical entertainment
sessions shall be the main attractions for the evening sessions.
He also said that the screening of candidates for the Miss and Mister Thadou contest will be held on April
1 at 1st MR banquet hall, Imphal.
