Crusade against Biren Govt won’t succeed: Susindro
CAF&PD and PHED Minister L Susindro

TMB Report
Imphal: Amidst the rumours doing the rounds that the Biren-led government is in jeopardy with several BJP MLAs camping in New Delhi, CAF&PD and PHED Minister L Susindro has categorically said that those MLAs who are camping in the national capital are power hungry politicians and their campaign cannot destabilise the Biren government.
Talking to a local news channel, Minister Susindro claimed that the present government led by Chief Minister N Biren is performing well with steadfast support of the people.
He said that MLA Th Radheshyam and MLA Karam Shyam, as per media reports, resigned from the post of Advisor to CM and Chairman of Tourism Corporation of Manipur Limited respectively, citing that they have not been given any responsibility.
It is questionable what more additional powers are to be given to the post of Advisor and Chairman. It is shameful to forget their responsibility on the ground that they have not been given a ministerial berth, he said.
He contended that party MLAs who are camping in New Delhi and misleading the development initiatives taken up by the Biren government can be referred as those politicians who do not like to sincerely serve the people. They are power hungry politicians, he alleged.
Susindro also claimed that certain MLAs are trying to mislead the development works taken up by the government led by Chief Minister Biren.
BJP is bound by certain procedures. Camping in the national capital by skipping due
procedures and meeting some Union Ministers familiar to them won’t serve the purpose, the Minister asserted, adding that persons who newly joined the party will not understand such procedures.
He said that it would have been effective had they highlighted their grievances to the Central leaders after consulting with party’s State unit President. They committed such mistakes as they did not work for the party from the grassroots level, he added.
Pointing out that BJP functions under certain principles, he said that MLA Karam Shyam who stepped down from the post of Chairman of Tourism Corporation of Manipur does not know protocols.
Susindro also mentioned that in Heirok AC, some water supply schemes are lying incomplete after the local MLA banned the works for not giving works to his men.
Local MLAs need to work at their best for development in their Assembly segments. Power will come automatically if the MLA serves sincerely. Camping in Delhi and spreading propaganda in the media will not help bring development in the Assembly constituencies, the Minister said.
