Imphal: Wangkhei AC MLA Thangjam Arunkumar handed over a hanging bridge at Khurai Ahongei Litan Bridge to the public after repairing the bridge as part of the development projects taken up by him for the constituency.
The bridge also known as Khurai Ahongei Litan Thong which connects Khuman Lampak Sports complex was in a pitiable condition and people could not utilise the bridge. Following the intervention of MLA Arunkumar, the bridge was repaired and dedicated to the people.
The MLA also dedicated a newly constructed veranda of Eastern Educational Club, Khurai
Ahongei Thangjam Leikai to the people. MLA Arunkumar said that he had noticed the dilapidated condition of the bridge and after sensing that people, especially young children might face danger while crossing the bridge; he took the initiative of repairing the bridge.
