Imphal: Security Forces has arrested two active cadres of proscribed militant outfit United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) with arms from near Sangaikot Police Station in Churachandpur district on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
The arrested persons has been identified as Tonghoukhup Baite (27 yrs) and Kamkholun Guite (45 yrs).
The arrested persons were involved in extortion activities along Churachandpur-Sangaikot Road.
The Security Forces recovered one 9mm Beretta pistol with magazine with 5 live rounds, one two-wheeler vehicle, one knife and two mobile phones from their possession.
The arrested persons have been handed over to the concerned Police Station and investigation is underway, a police report said.
