Imphal: Rotary Club of Imphal (RID-3240) honoured 15 school teachers under Zone I, II, III and IV of the Department of Education (S) with Nation Builder Awards under TEACH programme of Rotary India Literacy Mission (RILM) at Rotary Bhavan, Mantripukhri on Sunday.

Nation Builder Award winners for 2023 are Sorokhaibam Bikram Singh of Khurai Ahongei Upper Primary School; Ashem Kanchan Devi of Awang Kongpal Maloti Primary School; Thiyam Nilamani Singh of Khurai Popular High School; Ahanthem Gopen Singh of Ningombam Junior High School; Ranjita Arubam of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Awasiya Vidyalaya; Nandita Chongtham of Sagolband Rishikul Upper Primary School; Waikhom Manglemba Singh of Kshetri Leikai High School; Anoubam Kiranmala Devi of Khomdram Selungba Upper Primary School, Thangmeiband; Keisham Shyamkesho Singh of Pechi Primary School; Kshetrimayum Shyamtombi Singh of Yairipok High School; Rajkumari Shantibala Devi of Malom Megha High School; Padma Leihaothabam of Bal Vidya Mandir; Khundrakpam Binokumar Singh of Heirok High School; Sagolsem Chinglensana Meitei of Uchiwa High School and Tokpam Khogendro Singh of Malom Megha High School.

Dr. Th. Dhabali Singh, Past Assistant Governor, Dr. Sanjib Nepram, President, RC Imphal and Pradeep Jain, Secretary, RC Imphal were the presidium members of the programme. Alina Soibam, MES, Deputy Inspector of School, Zone-I, Govt. of Manipur too participated as a special invitee of the function.

Dr. Th. Dhabali Singh, in his speech as Chief Guest of the function, said that Rotary Club of Imphal has been honouring school teachers with Nation Builder Awards as a part of its continuing community service project of the club under TEACH programme of RILM.

He congratulated all Nation Builder Awards winning school teachers and requested all teachers to continue to dedicate themselves in building a strong nation. He further said that Rotary Club of Imphal will be celebrating its golden jubilee year during October 2023.
