Imphal: Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL), Iramdam Kanba Apunba Lup (IKAL), Women Association for Socio-Economic Development (WASEDV), Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur (PLMPAM), Kanglamei and Salai Apunba Nupi Lamjing Lup (SANLL) have warned of launching a series of intensified agitation if the State Government fails to arrest the remaining culprits involved in the brutal killing of Akoijam Nonganba alias Aging and deliver justice at the earliest. Talking to reporters at Manipur Press Club on Thursday, PLMPAM President Memchoubi said that the accused identified as Sonia has already revealed that Nonganba was killed in cahoots with some cadres of NSCN-IM. She demanded the concerned authorities to book the main culprit Stephen at the earliest.

President Kanglamei Leirik- leima said that such similar brutal incidents had occurred many times in the past but no justice has been delivered till now. She said that most of the incidents related to killings
that occurred in the past were compromised with money but the case of Nonganba cannot be compromised with monetary.

She said that the people of the state would never accept the pre-plan of Sonia of trying to murder many sons of rich people of the state. If the concerned authorities do not deliver justice in this incident then there will be no respect for Manipuri women.

The concerned authorities should not release Sonia easily. Meanwhile, President of AMKIL Lourembam Nganbi also said that the state government should clearly understand what kind of person Sonia is, who handed over to NSCN-IM cadres to kill him.

She said that so many innocent individuals such as drivers etc from the valley have been killed in the past but the government remains silent. She questioned what is the secret agenda behind the silence. She also urged the militant outfit NSCN-IM to extend support in delivering justice.
