Imphal: As per directive of Civil Judge Junior Division, Kangpokpi, Kangchup Police Station along with 250 different security personnel has evicted seven illegal houses of Kangchup Makhom village, under Kangpokpi district on Friday.
During the eviction, the security personnel fired many tear gases, even rubber bullet cell to control the mob/villagers, who tried to stop the eviction.
The security force teams led by DSP Sapermeina, included Kangchup PS, 8th IRB, 9th IRB and special commando. Altogether, 250 security personnel were deployed on the day.
A huge confrontation was occurred between the two parties but later the security personnel control the mobs and seven houses were all completely evicted at around 1 PM. No casualty were reported during filling of this report.
It may be mentioned that the seven houses which were evicted today has been already fought a case in the court between Kangchup Chiru and Kangchup Makhom village for constructing houses in the area of Kangchup Chiru by the villagers of K. Makhom village.
The case was won by the Kangchup Chiru so the Court issued an order to evict all the seven houses constructed illegally.
