Thoubal: Farmers in Kakching district have been gripped with fear after a cow was found dead at Wangoo Sandangkhong paddy field in Kakching district due to an unknown disease on Monday early morning.
An expert team Veterinary department has conducted spot enquiry to find the clues leading to the death of the cattle. Members of Wangoo Sandangkhong Social Welfare Youth Club and PYDO Club, Pungjaomakhong reported to the veterinary department about the death of the cow, following which Veterinary Joint Director Dr. S Binokumari immediately took up action and assured to conduct mass vaccination in the area.
Under the supervision of Joint Director Thoubal and Kakching Veterinary office Dr. S. Binokumari, a joint expert team of Veterinary Head Office, Sanjenthong and Kakching Veterinary rushed to the spot and conducted post mortem of the carcass and collected samples to detect the clues leading to the death
of the cattle.
