issued by its President Md.Abdul Latif on Friday.

MSPP in a press release issueby its President Md.Abdul Latif requested the State Government not to imburse its shortage of funds from the wages of job card holders’ under MGNREGA.

It said that the wages were long pending. The MSPP is requesting the State Government not to lose the total amount of Rs.302 crore of material components for the Financial Year 2021-22 worked out by the outgoing PRI members.

MSPP members felt surprised when Chief Minister N Biren stated that the total release amount of Rs.756 crore under MGNREGA for the Financial Year 2021-22 to clear liability is being imbursed by the State Government to meet the shortage of funds.

Expressing concern over the possible failure of disbursement of MGNREGA fund for the Financial Year 2023-24 in the State, it claimed that delaying the 6th General Panchayat Election also led to the loss of several developmental projects in the rural areas. The State Government should hold the election
on time, it said.
Meanwhile, MSPP submitted a memorandum to All India Panchayat Parishad elaborating the problems and grievances faced by the MSPP. MSPP said that AIPP has given assurance of lending support to its demands.
