Thoubal : A one-day voluntary blood donation awareness campaign was held at DC Counting Hall, Thoubal on Saturday as part of National Handloom Day, which was jointly organised by State Blood Cell, National Health Mission Manipur, and Nehru Yuva Kendra, Thoubal.
The campaign was being held as a part of Swacchta pakhwada fortnight activities which is being held from August 1 to 15, on the occasion of 75 years of Independence – Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.
The event was attended by P. Lenin Singh, AC to DC, on behalf of DC Thoubal as chief guest, Dr. H Khamkhanpau Simte, State Program Officer, State Blood Cell, NHM Manipur, as president, and Michael T Mate, DYO, NYK Thoubal, Ch. Basanta Singh, DPM, DHS Thoubal, NHM Manipur as guests of honour.
State health mission director, Dr. N Shyamjal Singh, also dropped in and exhorted the youths gathered as a special guest at the blood donation awareness campaign.
