Thoubal: As a part of the preventive measures taken up by District Police Thoubal in connection with upcoming Independence Day, a house-to-house search operation was conducted at Thoubal Melaground area under the supervision of SP Thoubal Jogeshchandra Haobijam on Saturday.
As per a police source, the operation that started from 6.00 am and ended at 7.45 am, was jointly conducted by teams from Thoubal Commando, Thoubal police station, and Women Police Station.
In the operation, about 40 houses were searched properly and about 115 persons including males and females were subjected to verification. However, no person was picked up during the operation, the source added.
