Thoubal: Heirok Assembly Constituency MLA Dr.Thokchom Radheshyam inaugurated a newly constructed hall of Ibudhou Ikop Ningthou,(supreme god) at Heirok Part (II) on Monday.
MLA Dr.Thokchom Radheshyam who attended the event as Chief Guest said that it was with the blessing of Ikop Ningthou that he could construct a hall at the sacred abode of Ibudhou.
He made an assurance that a similar hall will also be constructed at the sacred shrine of God Yotningthou of Heirok part (I) at the earliest.
The MLA said that a devotee who speaks untruth always is a sinner while a man who always speaks truth, serves his parents and helps the poor and needy people everytime is a righteous person.
Such people do not need to go for worshipping God as he himself acts what God wants to act. We should always remember that we human beings have the same colour of blood and there is only one God, he said.
Highlighting some of the development works which are in the pipeline for Heirok AC, MLA Radheshyam announced that the deteriorated Heirok part (I) road and the Salungpham-Ukhongsang road will be blacktopped soon.
Besides, the Heirok-Wangjing road stretching along Heirok Part (II) side will also be blacktopped at an estimated cost of Rs 7 crore. The Heirok-Wanging river will also be rejuvenated at an estimated cost of Rs.158 crore, he conveyed.
MLA Radheshyam appealed to the general public of his constituency to take part in the development works taken up by him setting aside political differences.
It is not good to blame each other just for political reasons. We should unite and join hands to bring all round development in Heirok AC, he said.
The inauguration event was attended by Ningthoujam Lokendro, Chairman of Ibudhou Ikop Ningthou Haraoba Thougal Lup as President. Office bearers of the organisation and former elected ward members were also present at the occasion.
