Imphal: “We should include sports and recreational activities in our day to day life in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle,” said Prof. H. Priyoshakhi Devi, Director, RIMS Imphal while speaking on the opening ceremony of the most ardently awaited RIMSAM-2023.
Speaking as the Chief Guest, Prof. H. Priyoshakhi Devi stressed on the need to include sports and recreational activities in our day to day life in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. She further mentioned that only books and education is not enough to live a fruitful life and advised the students to cease the
opportunity and relax, enjoy and interact with one’s peers. She also highlighted the importance of such fest to rejuvenate the minds of the students as well as the faculty members.
The five-day long fiesta (April 27 to May 1) held on the theme – “Unleash your Inner Champion” kicked off on Thursday at RIMS mini ground wherein four houses: Ashwini, Charaka, Nagarjuna and Sushruta with over 600 participants will be competing in various competitions.
Prof. N. Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital, Imphal, Prof. Brogen Singh Akoijam, Dean (Academics), Dr. B. Praveen Reddy, Principal, Dental College and Prof. H. Jamuna Devi, Principal Nursing College shared the dais as the Guests of Honour while Dr. Th Meera Devi, Staff Advisor, RIMSSU attended as the President of the ceremony.
Prof. N. Sanjib Singh advised the students as well as the faculty members to take the opportunity of the fest to recharge themselves and take the chance and build a team spirit.
