Imphal: A combined team of Manipur Police and Central Forces has recovered a cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives during a search operation and area domination conducted at different areas of the state in the last 36 hours.
On Friday, the combined team recovered one 7.62mm AK-56 Rifle with magazine, two 12-inch Single Bore Barrel Rifles, and ten 7.62mm live rounds from Kangpokpi District.
On the other hand, on Wednesday, the combined team of Manipur Police and Central Forces recovered one 12G shotgun, one .22 automatic rifle with magazine, nine Single barrel rifles, one country-made 9mm pistol with magazine, two improvised mortars, one improvised mortar bomb, six improvised mortar bomb loader, one Kenwood radio set, ten 12 bore rounds, five 9mm rounds from Churachandpur district.
With the situation in the State was tense with sporadic incidents of firing but under control during the last 24 hours, Security Forces continued to conduct search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts
