Imphal: Wheelchair Basketball player of Manipur Ch. Lokeshori Devi and Assistant Coach Md. Yunus Khan has left Imphal for Thailand to participate in the Asian Oceanic Wheelchair Basketball Championship for Men & Women’s and Paris 2024 Qualifying Tournament, Bangkok, Thailand.
Ch. Lokeshori Devi and Md. Yunus Khan will be part of the Indian Wheelchair Basketball Team of the Championship which will be held from 9th to 21st January, 2024.
Ahead of the Championship, the practice session of the Indian Wheelchair Basketball team will be conducted from the 5th to the 8th of January 2024 at Noida to form an Indian team combination.
Speaking to Media persons, Secretary, Wheelchair Basketball Association Manipur Md. Yunus Khan encourages all the differently abled persons of the state and wheelchair basketball players to work hard to get more players selected from Manipur.
Md. Yunus appealed to the state government to give more emphasis to the differently abled players of the state and also seeks support and prayers from the people of the state for their success in the Championship.
