Imphal: Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre in association with the Superintendent of Police Office, Imphal East District organised a Cancer Awareness and Risk Assessment Programme for Early Detection of Cancer at the Superintendent of Police Office in Imphal East on Thursday.

The programme was attended by Ksh. Shivakanta Singh, Superintendent of Police, Imphal East; Dr. (Prof) G.S. Moirangthem, Director & CEO, Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre; along with many Women Police Officers and Police Personnel.

Karkinos Healthcare Manipur also organised a Free Medical Camp for all the police personnel and created awareness about the importance of proper diet, hygiene, fitness and healthy lifestyle, to name a few.

A highly experienced Medical Team headed by Dr. (Prof) G.S. Moirangthem, along with RMOs, and Nurses was present to conduct the Risk Assessment and cancer screening programme.

Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre in Imphal is a comprehensive cancer hospital with all facilities under one roof like radiation oncology, medical oncology and surgical oncology.

It is a 150 bedded hospital with fully equipped ICU and OT for handling complicated cancer surgeries backed with an in-house team of experienced Onco-pathologists, technologists, international board of advisors. It is located at JNIMS Campus, Porompat in Imphal East.
