Ukhrul: In advent Christmas celebration at Vangayan, the main venue for the renowned Shirui Lily Festival, the first Ram Muivah Entrepreneurship Awards 2023 shone a spotlight on exceptional entrepreneurs driving the economic growth of Ukhrul. The event, generously sponsored by Dr. Rajkumar Vidyarani, took place on Tuesday.
Congratulating the winners across eight categories, Ram Muivah IAS (Retd), MLA Ukhrul 44 AC, expressed, “By God’s grace, there are many educated people in our community, but the one thing we are lacking is financial management, due to this we could not move forward.”
Emphasising the transformative power of entrepreneurship, Muivah highlighted the importance of financial acumen for societal progress, motivating him to institute these awards.
The distinguished recipients and their respective categories include Honey Mission (Best Beekeeping Award) by Ningon Bee Farm (Ningon Longpinao), Mushroom Mission (Best Mushroom Farming) by JR Woleng Enterprise (Jonah Woleng), High Value Fruit Farming Mission by Reisangpemmi Kasomwoshi, Most Innovative Entrepreneur by Pamreishang Chiphang, Poultry Mission by Ngashanpam KSV (Nana Poultry Farm), Piggery Mission by Hills Piggery Farm (Mimi Y Horam), Fishery Mission by Ahom Fishery Mission (Homhor Zimik).
Apart from honouring with a prestigious certificate, each awardee received a cash prize of ₹30,000.
