6 student bodies appeal to ATSUM to withdraw stir

Imphal: Six students’ bodies have appealed to the All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur (ATSUM) to withdraw the proposed total shutdown in protest against the job reservation pattern in RIMS in larger interest of the public.
In a joint press release, the students’ bodies appealed to the ATSUM to extend their full support in allowing the Central Institutions to exercise as per their rules and regulations.
The students bodies also expressed firm belief that the tribal students’ organisations will work for the welfare of the public. It also appealed to the tribal body to pressurise the higher ups and punish those people who are against the rule, instead of causing hardships to the general public.
It said the students bodies will start intervening in the current situation of the RIMS and its Adiministrative various defect.
