Imphal: Working president of MPCC Kh Devbrata has informed on Monday that two inner agents of the Congress candidate who were stationed at 3/11 Moirang Kampu Sajeb Primary School polling station and 3/21 Khurai Thongam Leikai polling station received serious threats over the phone from unknown persons while they were engaged in duty for repoll and called upon the administration to promptly investigate into the matter. He claimed that the two persons have decided to stay away from their homes as a precaution fearing for the worst.

Devbrata was disappointed that repolls were ordered in only 11 of the 57 polling stations where vitiation of election process were observed. Despite unprecedented number of criminal interferences to polling ECI ordered repoll in only 11 polling stations, that too without assigning any reason for omission of the rest. It reflects the lack of concept of judgment on part of the Election Commission and the path it followed disfigured democracy, he stated.
