Imphal: After taking charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Tamenglong, Krishna Kumar on Wednesday chaired his first District Level Officers meeting at the conference hall of Mini Secretariat at Tamenglong district Headquarter.
In his first DLO meeting speech, DC Krishna Kumar appealed to all the district level officers to co-operate and support him during his tenure so that the people of Tamenglong district could get all round development. He said that he will be available 24/7 either in office or in his quarter for the people of Tamenglong district as well as for the government officials.
Since infrastructure is the main concern for the district development, the DC said that he will be calling a separate review meeting with the officials of PHED, Power, PWD, Telecommunication, Social Welfare, Health and Family Welfare, Horticulture, Sericulture and Forest Department to see what is lacking behind in developing the district.
He also informed members present at the meeting that in a very short time, MCS Officers posted in Tamenglong will be appointed as Nodal Officers to look after the Central sponsored schemes to ensure that the schemes are reached to the public and get the most benefit out of it.
The DC instructed the District Information Office (DIPR) to scan all the government and public grievances related news which are either published in print and electronic media including social media platform and update daily to him so that he could discuss properly with the concerned department and work towards building a good image between the government and the public.
During the meeting, the DC also reviewed the number of centrally sponsored schemes being implemented by various government departments in the district.
Officials of 30 departments took part in the district level officers meeting.
