Imphal: Acting on a tip-off, teams of Imphal West Commando under the supervision of SP Imphal West Dr. S.Ibomcha Singh raided the house of one Aribam Khomdonsana at Lalambung Makhong Ningthoujam Leikai which is rented to one Moirangthem Ibomcha Singh (53) alias Koko, son of M. Munal Singh of Kakching Ningthou Leikai on Friday at around 9.15 pm and pulled up several persons who were found gambling in the house, conveyed a source.
They have been identified as Nongthombam Kenny Singh (46), son of Late N. Shamungou Singh of Lalambung Makhong Pukhri Achouba Mapa; Ningthoujam Khamba Singh (50), son of Late N. Iboton Singh of Uripok Gopalji Leirak; Ningthoujam Sanajaoba Singh (43), son of Late N. Meghachandra Singh of Lalambung Makhong Ningthoujam Leikai; Mutum Naocha Singh (36), son of M. Brajamani Singh of Nagamapal Soram Leirak; Keithelakpam Kemlin Singh (36), son of Late K. Birchandra Singh of Lalambung Makhong Naoshekpam Leikai; Kshetrimayum Herojit Singh (41), son of Ksh. Makhon Singh of Nagamapal Soram Leirak and Khoisnam Ranbir Singh (50), son of Late Kh. Bhubon Singh of Uripok Sorbon Thingel.
Several items including 104 playing cards, six mobile phones, Rs. 1,19,500 in cash and one Laiyum were recovered from their possession.
In all eight persons including the owner of the rented house and the recovered items have been handed over to Imphal Police Station for necessary action, the source informed.
