Imphal: Manipur Police department has appealed to the public not to misuse Manipur Police insignia/logo stickers by pasting it on their private vehicles, conveying that the district Police Imphal West has started a special drive against it.
“It is found that many civilians or police personnel paste the Manipur Police insignia/logo stickers on their private vehicles thereby creating inconveniences to the police on duty during frisking and checking, verification, etc. Misuse of such insignia is punishable under Section 5 of the Emblems and Names (Prevention of improper use) Act, 1950”, Police said.
