Imphal: The outlawed People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) observed 43rd Red Army Uprising Day along with the people of both hill and valley.
The Uprising Day was celebrated at the party’s Central Head Quarter (CHQ ), General Head Quarter (GHQ), 707 Mobile Battalion, Tactical Head Quarter (THQ), Base Areas, Transit Camp and Training Centres, PREPAK Charge-de-Affairs Publicity & Propaganda Leibaak Ngaakpa Luwang said in a release.
At 707 Mobile Battalion, Major Langamba hoisted the party’s flag and revolutionary gun salute was given to the party’s late cadres who laid down in the line of freedom struggle.
It stated that colonial India which has been colonising the region for over 73 years is claiming itself an advanced country. Moreover, the country is boasting of being one of the nations equipped with modern Science & Technology, Industry etc. As such, people of the region have been compelled to suffer certain sufferings in the course of the movement. The collective wisdom and unity of the people make the dream of liberation struggle possible, it stated.
