Imphal: A team of Imphal West District Police has arrested two drug peddlers including a female from Oinam Sawombung on Tuesday morning.
The arrested persons have been identified as Khulakpam Roushan Khan
(48 years), son of Amu Achouba and Khulakpam (Ningol) Buyamayum
(Ongbi) Ibesana (70), wife of Buyamayum Ashrab Ali. Both are residents of
Oinam Sawombung Dam.
The police team that included personnel of Women Police led by SDPO/Mayang Imphal under the supervision of Imphal West SP Dr. S. Ibomcha Singh arrested the two drug peddlers while conducting cordon and search operation at Oinam Sawombung from 4 am to 6:30 am.
The team also recovered 65 small plastic vials containing suspected brown sugar.
The arrested persons have been handed over to Wangoi Police Station
for further necessary legal proceedings.
