Imphal: The State Cabinet in its meeting convened on Saturday has decided to discontinue curfew and instead adopt micro containment zone approach in line with the advisories of the Central Government.
A press conveyed that the State Cabinet expressed gratitude to the Central Government for promptly deputing a Multi Disciplinary Expert Team on Covid-19 to the State in response to the request made.
It also carefully reviewed the curfew imposed for 21 days to control the Covid transmission and decided to continue the curfew to maintain balance with livelihood and economic activities. Gram Panchayats, Village Authorities, local clubs, etc. will be fully involved by Deputy Commissioners in ensuring strict micro containment zones and isolation of fresh positive cases, the release said.
It requested the general public to adopt Covid Appropriate Behavior to fully control Covid-19 pandemic in the State.
