Thoubal (DIO): Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, A. Subhash Singh, IAS on Thursday chaired a meeting of the District Level Officers at the Conference Hall to discuss various activities taken up in the district.
He urged all the DLOs to actively take part in the Swachhata Hi Seva fortnight to be observed in the district. He said removal of garbage from important places like river banks, drainage, bus stand among others should be strictly enforced.
He also said that at school level awareness regarding waste segregation at source should be given as done earlier. Swachhata Hi Seva fortnight will be held from September 15 to October 2 in the district.
ZEO Thoubal is organising awareness and activities on proper hand wash from September 15 to September 19 in all the Government, Aided and Private schools in the district. Similarly, awareness on oral hygiene, hygienic manner of using toilet will be held from September 20 till September 23, cleanliness activities inside and periphery of school from September 25 till September 29.
Special cleanliness activities on Irawat Day and National Cleanliness Day (Gandhi Jayanti) will be held from September 30 till October 2.
The District Level Officers meeting was also attended by SP Thoubal, Soibam Sachidananda MPS, officials of the District Administration among others.
