Kangpokpi: The district administration of Kangpokpi has notified that there will be complete stoppage of all kind of heavy vehicular traffic on the minor bridge in Sapermeina at existing Ch.287-370 of NH-39 (New NH-02) between Sapermeina and Koubru Laikha with immediate effect, till further orders, in order to avoid any untoward incident and to ensure safety of the general public/ commuters.
The order was issued by Deputy Commissioner of the district Mahesh Chaudhari on Wednesday.
Light unladen and lighter passenger vehicles are allowed to pass through under strict regulation for the moment.
Superintendent of Police, Kangpokpi, was directed to regulate the traffic from Sapermeina to Koubru Laikha until the alternate route work is completed.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Saitu-Gamphazol, will be stationed at the location for the overall co-ordination and action until further orders.
NHIDCL will be deputing a team for the restoration/ alternate route work.
