New Delhi (Agency): The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Tuesday mandated the airlines to allocate seats for children of up to 12 years of age with at least one of their parents or guardian travelling on the same PNR.
The aviation watchdog has also asked the airlines to maintain the record for it as well.
“Airlines shall ensure that children up to the age of 12 years are allocated seats with at least one of their parents/guardians, who are travelling on the same PNR and a record of the same shall be maintained,” said DGCA.
Recent incidents of children under 12 not being seated with parents on flights, prompted the said directive. (Courtesy: EconomicTimes)
