Meira paibi volunteers staged a sit in protest at Wangkhei Meihoupham Lampak on Saturday condemning the unprovoked and objectionable activities carried out by BJYM leader Manoharmayum Barish Sharma that involved vandalising properties and threatening people with a gun while polling for Lok Sabha elections was underway on Friday.
A spokesperson said it will be in everybody’s interest for Barish to meet the local meira paibi and tender his apology for his mistakes so that the matter is resolved before any further aggravation.
