Election 2024: Polling Teams Dispersed In Imphal East

Imphal: Polling personnel in connection with 18th Lok Sabha Election 2024, in respect of 10th Assembly Segments of Imphal East District, an integral part of 1- Inner Manipur Parliamentary constituency, were dispersed on Thursday.

Dispersal for 14th- Yaiskul AC and 15th – Wangkhei AC was flagged off by District Election Officer -DC Khumanthem Diana Devi and SDO Porompat, Sapam Jotin at DIC Campus Porompat.

Altogether there are 1782 polling officials for 441 polling stations in the 10th Assembly Segments of Imphal East district including Nine Special Polling Stations.

Number of Internally Displaced Person (IDP) 1- IMPC inner are 999 and 728 for 2- Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituencies.

There are 58 vulnerable Polling Stations and 67 critical Polling Stations in the district.

Ahead of the dispersal of the Polling Team the strong room located at 2nd floor of SIRD, DC Office Complex was opened from 7 a.m. onwards for dispersal of EVMs and VVPATs in the presence of AROs, Nodal Officers and representatives of various political parties.

The District will go to poll in the first phase i.e 19th April 2024.
