Imphal: The body of an unidentified man with a bullet injury was found abandoned in the vicinity of Waithou Chingol under Lilong Police Station in Thoubal district on Thursday morning.
According to reliable sources, the man could have been brought in captivity from another location and later killed there.
The body was discovered by passersby moving in the area in the morning. Although, the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, from appearance he looks above 40 years old.
Police have retrieved the body and deposited at JNIMS Mortuary for post mortem and necessary examinations.
