In Imphal East, a dedicated team of doctors led by Dr. Kshetrimayum Kala Singh organized a impactful free medical camp at the Sawombung Relief Camp, addressing various health concerns.
The medical camp included crucial health check-ups such as weight measurements, blood pressure, blood sugar, ECG, and more.
Dr. Kshetrimayum Kala emphasized the importance of preventive measures, urging people of all ages in Manipur to safeguard their health, especially during the increasingly cold winter days. He highlighted the elevated risks of flu, cold, diarrhea among children, and heart-related issues for mature and older individuals during this season. To mitigate these risks, he recommended wearing warm clothes and caps between 4 am to 7 am and advised against early morning walks in winter.
Additionally, Dr.Kshetrimayum Kala encouraged continuous support for victims who have lost their homes to fires and those struggling with basic necessities, urging everyone to live together in harmony.
The medical camp successfully treated around 150 patients, detecting heart-related issues in 5 children, high blood pressure in 20 patients, diabetes in 15 patients, and more than 25 children suffering from the flu. Free medicines were distributed to those in need.
