Imphal: Kreyilu Pfoze, hailing from the tranquil Song Song Village in Senapati district, is not just a name but a testament to resilience and achievement. Born to Ashuli Losii Pfoze and S Kaisa, both with a steadfast agricultural background, Kreyilu’s roots run deep in simplicity and hard work.
The Pfoze family, a band of seven brothers, mirrors diversity in pursuits. With the eldest son settled in the US and another donning the white coat as a doctor, the younger ones are weaving their academic journeys. In the family narrative, Kreyilu stands out as a guiding light, dressed in an olive green uniform that signifies sacrifice and valor.
His schooling at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya marked the early chapters of discipline and learning. The 2018 batch was a stepping stone to a distinguished path that awaited him at the National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla. After graduation in 2022, he embarked on a journey that led him to the prestigious Indian Military Academy.
On December 9, 2023, Kreyilu Pfoze achieved the rank of Lieutenant at the Indian Military Academy, marking a distinctive milestone. What distinguishes him further is not just the military accolade but the fact that he stands as the solitary commissioned officer among 343, bringing pride to Manipur on the national stage. This significant accomplishment shows how dedicated he is and makes him stand out in the military.
Beyond the rigors of military life, Lieutenant Kreyilu unveils his passion for painting—a side of him not often associated with the stereotypical image of a serviceman. His artistic talent, reflecting both humility and creativity, brings a distinctive touch to his character.
