Imphal: A combined team of Manipur Police led by N Herojit, IPS , DIGP (Range-I) and S. Ibomcha Singh, SP IE comprising Ng Romen, MPS, SDPO Lamlai, OC Sagolmang PS, OC CDO/IE and one platoon of G/4 Bn CRPF under the supervision of Themthing Ngashangva, IPS, IGP (Zone-I) carried out a counter insurgency operation at Taorem, Sarouthel, Morok Ingkhol and Ngairangbam villages on Saturday from 4.40 am.
During the operation, 76 houses of the villages and some farm houses were searched and the occupants were verified. No recovery of arm/ammunition and no apprehension of any person could be made. The operation was concluded at 7.30 am, informed a source.
