Dialogue only way to resolve conflict, says Sharda

Imphal: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Manipur Pradesh President A Sharda has appealed to all the communities to resolve all conflicts through dialogue. 

Addressing the media in a press meet held at Thambal Shanglen, Nityaipat Chuthek on Wednesday, Sharda stated that the State Government led by Chief Minister N Biren has taken up many initiatives for the overall development of the State under the slogan  ‘Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas and Sab ka Prayas’.

Stating that BJP will support any initiative taken up by CM Biren for the development of the State, she appealed to the communities in the State to resolve the issues after discussing with the government peacefully as the government is always open for room for discussion.

She asserted that the State Government has taken up various steps for the development of the state and has not targeted to hurt any community. She pointed out that the recent Sangai Festival was celebrated in various hill districts to strengthen the love between the hills and the valley and to bring overall development of the state by setting up various ethnic parks. 

Mentioning that CM Biren has taken up various development programs in Churachandpur including establishing a medical College in the district, she stated that recently CM had completed the construction of an open gym for a better and healthier state however, it was destroyed by some people even before it was inaugurated by CM. 

She regretted that amidst this situation some political parties have been criticising and mocking the steps taken up by the government, claiming that this is immature politics. She stated that an open gym at Churachandpur was destroyed by a mob which is unfortunate. She expressed hope that political parties will not use derogatory statements amidst the prevailing situation to gain political mileage 

She noted that the state government is open for discussion and will always hear the grievances of the people. She strongly condemned using derogatory, slang and unparliamentary words against the government and leaders.

Stressing that the War on Drugs campaign is not against a particular community, she said that the government has taken up the campaign to save the deteriorating climatic conditions of the state and appealed to the communities in the state to work together for a healthier and better environment towards development.

She said that the different organisations and communities must support one another in the initiative taken up by the government for the preservation of the environment and appealed to spread the message to the people. 

Sharda said that despite the different opinions, derogatory statement among the communities must be prevented at all cost to avoid misunderstanding and that the development projects taken up by the State Government is for the welfare of the people and the State itself has seen huge change in roads, medical facilities without the barrier of any community. The underprivileged have been approaching the government for help which the government extended help.

She appealed to the people that development works being taken up by the government are for the people and politicising the present situation should be avoided. She said that the party will take initiatives to talk with the people.
