Imphal: Veteran journalist Shyamkishore Keisham will be conferred with Thiyam Premkumar Award, 2023 on the occasion of World Press Day to be held on May.
The award will be handed over on the occasion of World Press Day to be organised by Sahitya Thoupang Lup on May 3 at Manipur Press Club with President of Editors Guild Manipur, Khogendro Khomdram as the Chief Guest and President of Msnipuri Literary Society, Imphal, Nongmaithem Kirankumar as the President. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 10000, citation and a shawl.
The award will be handed over to Shyamkishore in honour of his contribution in the field of journalism.
The award presentation ceremony will also include poem recitation by around 50 poets from journalistic background with Samurailatpam Prahlad Sharma as President.
