Imphal: Seven Myanmar nationals including one juvenile boy and one girl possessing fake Aadhaar cards and PAN card have been arrested from Bir Tikendrajit International Airport. Police sources said the Myanmarese nationals arrived at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport from Pune via Kolkata by Indigo Flight No. 6E-6359/6E-822 on Tuesday at about 11.15 AM.
They were detained at Foreigner Check Post by a combined team of Tulihal Airport PS and Foreigner Check Post (FCP), Airport for further verification of their identities.
On thorough verification, they identified themselves as Myanmarese Nationals. They are Suankhan Khai (28), son of Lian Khan Khyal of Tuimui Chin district, Myanmar; Kam Sia Khai (19), son of Lia Za Vai of Kale Sagaing Region, Myanmar; Cing Num Eng (26), daughter of Thaum Khan Lam of Lum Maul village, Chin district, Myanmar; Thanglamchin (21), son of Lang Khango of Tuimui, Chin district, Myanmar and Niang Lun Kin (26), daughter of Pun Khan Thang of Kale Sagaing Region, Myanmar.
They admitted that they didn’t possess valid travel documents. Indian Aadhaar Card and PAN Card were found from their possessions, it said.
A regular case under FIR No. 59(4)2023 SJM-PS u/s 468/471/34 IPC & 14 Foreigners Act was registered at Singjamei Police Station for further legal action. The five adults have been placed at Foreigners Detention Centre, Sajiwa by the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal West while the two juveniles have been produced before the Juvenile Justice Board, Takyel and later placed at Juvenile Observation Homes, the police sources conveyed.
