Imphal: Governor Anusuiya Uikey conveyed her warm salutations to the people of the State, especially Christian brethren, on the sacred occasion of Good Friday, 2023.
The Governor in her message said, “Sent with the objective to bring a new world order based on truth, humility, sacrifice, equality, compassion, and peace, Lord Jesus is a giant among humans and His preaching of peaceful co-existence and love for thy neighbours has withstood the test of time. Good Friday exemplifies. His supreme sacrifice for all the sins of mankind and His resurrection represent the victory of good over evil”.
On this holy and pious occasion, the Governor called upon the people to rededicate to the noble ideals of peace, harmony and brotherhood espoused by Him for a better world devoid of all evils. Let this sacred day be observed in its true spirit.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh also greeted the people of the State especially Christian brothers and sisters on the occasion of Good Friday, the day that marks the supreme sacrifice made by Lord Jesus Christ for mankind.
In his message, the Chief Minister said, “The crucifixion of the Lord on Good Friday and his resurrection on Easter Sunday are manifestations of the triumph of good over evil. His teaching emphasizes a world free from inequality and injustice”.
“May the goodness of Good Friday and Easter Sunday surround us all year long and bless us with peace and prosperity in abundance. Let his
ideals of sacrifice, compassion and forgiveness be the guiding light in our pursuit of unity and brotherhood,” the Chief Minister prayed.
Textiles, Commerce and Industry & Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen also extended her warm greetings and wishes to all the people of the State, especially Christian brethren on the auspicious occasion of Good Friday, 2023.
“Good Friday is a day which is observed every year to remember Lord Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection. This day exemplifies the supreme and selfless sacrifice made by Lord Jesus for strengthening the bond of friendship,
brotherhood and universal love amongst mankind,” the Minister said in her message.
On the occasion, the Minister called upon the people to rededicate ‘ourselves’ to the noble ideas of love, peace and forgiveness, and strengthen the bonds oneness amongst all the people.
Water Resources and Relief & Disaster Management Minister Awangbow Newmai also conveyed his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of the State, especially Christian brethren on this holy occasion of Good Friday, 2023.
In his message, the Minister said, “Good Friday marks the day to commemorate Jesus crucifixion and reminds us of His compassion and sacrifice for all the sins of humanity. Lord Jesus always showed the light of righteousness to his followers and His teachings took them all along the path of goodness”.
On this holy occasion, the Minister called upon the people to come together to uphold the noble ideas of peace, harmony and brotherhood espoused by Him for a better world.
“May each and every day of our lives is showered with positivity and blessings of Almighty to all,” the Minister wished.
