Imphal: Manipur People’s Party (MPP) President Ch Shamjai has said the external forces are plotting to hinder the functioning of the party.
Talking to media in a press meet held at the office of MPP at Kangjeibung Maning on Wednesday, Ch Shamjai stated that the party is one of the oldest party in the state however, some external forces outside the party have been plotting to hinder the functioning of the party. Politics should not be construed as a tool for spreading hatred but to respect and love one another.
He stated that four persons namely Khongbantabam Yaima Singh, Laishram Brajamani Singh, Mayanglambam Sana@Sanahal, Wangkhem Biren have filed a case against the President, General Secretary and SRO stating that the term of the interim President is over. The order has been vacated and is no longer valid.
Shamjai pointed out that the said four persons allegedly ceased the account of the party in Imphal Urban Cooperative bank without any court order. The Manager had freezed the account of the party. All forms of transactions have been restricted. Such act has affected the party. .
