Imphal: The proposed total shutdown called by All Tribal Students Union Manipur on April 4 has been called off following an understanding with the RIMS Authority over Reservation Roster policy for the recruitment of Group C&D posts at RIMS, Imphal.
A meeting was held on Monday in the Office chamber of Minister, Health & Family Welfare Dr S Ranjan at 4.30 PM with the Health Minister in the Chair.
The meeting was held following invitation to ATSUM. After minutes deliberation on the issue, a memorandum of understanding was signed among Government of Manipur, RIMS Authority and ATSUM.
Additional Chief Secretary (Health & Family welfare) Government of Manipur Vumlunmang, RIMS Director Dr Priyoshakhi Devi, RIMS Medical superintendent represented the Government side while ATSUM President and Secretary represented ATSUM while inking the MoU.
Minister (TA & Hills) Letpao Haokip and HAC Chairman Dinganglung Gangmei also attended while signing the MoU.
According to the MoU, after a thorough discussion of the RIMS Notice issued on March 3, 2023 regarding the declaration of results for appointment to post of LDC in RIMS, RIMS Authority agreed to cancel the RIMS Notice for declaration of results for appointment to post of LDC.
The RIMS Authority also agreed to declare fresh results within a weel with reservation as SC (3%), OBC(13 %) and ST (34 %) based on DPC already conducted.
In future, RIMS Authority will follow existing rules and DoPT guidelines in matters of recruitment to Group C & D posts. In response, ATSUM agreed to lift the Total Shutdown.
