Addressing the media in a press meet held at SSUM HQ, RIMS Road, Lalambung, President SSUM, S Yaima informed that Little Flower School has newly opened classes for KG in private without any information to the people and demanded clarification from the school authority at the earliest on how these students were admitted.

He noted that every students must be given equal opportunity for admission in the school and stated that Sister Superior , Headmistress and Admission Committee must clarify for deceiving the public and questioned on the high amount of fees charged. He lamented that no information for the admission was announced to the public.

Yaima stated that the organization is fully aware of the role of mission school in the society and demanded full announcement of the procedure for the admission of the students of Class KG and why the huge amount of fees have been charged.

He said that the high fees charged by schools have posed huge inconvenience to the parents with low income as the economy of the state is low and believed that charging huge amount of fees is a scam to the people and depriving students their chances to admit in the school.

Asserting that a remuneration of a person has been given with the acknowledgement that he has worked for the month and if does not do his work there is no point in giving him his salary, he pointed out that a Science teacher of Praja Higher Secondary School, Lamsang was given his salary for months without attending a single class. He said that the said teacher was sent under School Phagathansi Mission, which is an initiative taken up by the government for the betterment and welfare of the students in government school.

He questioned the concerned authority how the initiative of the government will be successful if a teacher does not take his classes and working only for his monthly salary. He denounced that SSUM has inspected the school after information was received and upon checking the attendance register, it was found to be true.

Yaima questioned how a school teachers salary was given even without a single attendance record. SSUM demanded necessary actions to be taken up against the concerned authority related according to law. He asserted that the government must take up stringent actions against the said teacher and the authority for giving him his salary.

SSUM believed there is conspiracy of a scam and demanded the concerned authority to take up necessary actions at the earliest and failing to do so the student body along with other student organization will take up various forms of democratic protest.

Yaima mentioned that there has been many errors in the question paper for Mathematics subject in the ongoing HSLC Examination and called the attention of the concerned department to look into the matter.
