KANGPOKPI, Apr.1: A Reliance Trends, the first of its kind in Kangpokpi district and the second in the state was officially launched today at Kangpokpi District Headquarters.
The reliance trends at Kangpokpi are located at Ting’s Tower building at the heart of Kangpokpi town in Kilkhong veng Ward No.13.
Kangpokpi Town Committee Chairman, Angam Leivon inaugurated the Reliance Trends at Kangpokpi in the presence of Caretaker Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills Haokholal Hangshing, who is also the landlord of the Ting’s Tower, DC Kangpokpi, Kengoo Zuringla, SP Kangpokpi Th. Vikramjit Singh, CEO-SHADC Kangpokpi James Doujapao Haokip, OC Fire Sub Station Kangpokpi, KWWO, KYU, and various other CSOs leaders.
KTC Chairman, Angam Leivon said that the people of Kangpokpi are very fortunate to see developments in various sectors and the launching of Reliance Trends in the town will bring more changes and also create job opportunities for many youths in the town.
The town committee chairman also lauded the efforts of Haokholal Hangshing and his family in bringing in such branded stores in the town.
The landlord’s daughter, Phalpichong Hangshing said the main goal for opening the reliance trends at Kangpokpi is a guiding hope that the establishment will bring convenience to the people of Kangpokpi and also promote growth and competition apart from generating needed employment in the district.
She also said that Reliance Trends is the first of its kind and on par with the other big cities and towns across the country and the state while adding that the newly launched Reliance Trends is for the public and the public must safeguard and think it as if it is of their own.
She also thanks the reliance company for their faith in working with the people of Kangpokpi.
Meanwhile, the Cluster Visual Merchandiser (CVM) of Reliance Trends, Rishit Thapa, who is also in charge of the Northeastern states including Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal, Meghalaya and Tripura said that reliance basically is a fashion format which is called Reliance Trends which provide the best garments and fashion merchandiser with reasonable price starting from newborn baby up to elder people.
He said that in North East as of now we have 43 Reliance Trends stores in Trends Small Town format and in Manipur we have as of now three stores, one at Senapati and the second one at Kangpokpi and we will shortly open another store at Churachandpur.
He also said that we are planning to open fifteen more Reliance Trends stores in Trends Small Town format in the state of Manipur while adding that our main target is to reach out to all the districts of the state so that talented Manipuri youths need not go to other states for jobs but work at their home town.
The blessing prayer was performed by Rev. Tongkhojang Lhouvum, Pastor, Kangpokpi Independent Baptist Church while the event culminated with a vote of thanks from the store manager Dilip Khatiwoda before a benediction prayer from Rev. K. Hangshing, Chairman, Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship.
