Imphal: Women’s rights and menstrual health activist Urmila Chanam was appointed as the Regional Chair for Southern India by G100, Mentoring and Motivations Wing on Thursday and will be responsible for supporting and overseeing the progress of the women’s global collective in the States of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puducherry, Lakshadweep Islands, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Yanaam.

The announcement was made by Kalyani Pantangi, India Country Chair of G100 and President of India-Israel Business Council at Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI).

G100 has a philanthropic vision and inclusive ethos of mutual empowerment by way of women helping women in She-for-She spirit of sisterhood and circles of support and functions under the auspices of ALL Ladies League (ALL) with a collective strength of 250,000 women worldwide connected across all its platforms that include Women Economic Forum (WEF)- the global conference platform, SHEconomy- the e-commerce platform, and Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WICCI)- the policies platform.
