Imphal: Thoubal Police has arrested three individuals who were allegedly found impersonating themselves as the candidates of the ongoing HSLC Exam at Thoudam Leishangthem High School on Friday.
Police said that they received information from Thoudam Leishangthem High School that three unknown persons who were impersonating themselves as the candidates of HSLCE have been detained by the invigilators at the School campus.
Based on the information, a team of Thoubal Police Station rushed to the spot and arrested three persons namely Chesam Mustakim (21), son of Ch. Salim of Chirai Mayai Leikai; Chesam Sanathoiba (20), son of Ch. Abdul Gafar of Hangoon Awang Leikai and Pusham Sahabuddin (20), son of P.Safiruddin of Hangoon Awang Leikai who were impersonating themselves as the candidates of HSLE 2023 against the three candidates namely Nongaimayum Ashif of Irong High Madrassa, Irong Chesaba bearing Roll No. 37839, Mohammad Riyajuddin of Sur Rashi Elike School, Mayang Imphal bearing Roll No. 37881 and Md. Najir Ahamad of Irong High Madrassa, Irong Chesaba bearing Roll No. 37837.
A case has been registered at Thoubal Police Station for investigation. They will be produced before the concerned court, it said Meanwhile, four candidates were expelled on Friday in the Social Science subject of the HSLC exam 2023 on the charge of using unfair means.
Three candidates bearing Roll no. 17737, 17671 and 17761 were expelled from Borobekra Higher
Secondary School centre for using unfair means and one candidate bearing Roll no 15606 was expelled from Ideal High School Pallel for impersonation, informed BOSEM controller of examination in an official statement.
