The State Government needs to pay attention to the various hardships and inconveniences currently faced by the villagers of the village, he added.
President of Chingtam Women Development Association Manipur N. Kunjeshori said the people of the hill faced various hardships and inconveniences to sell crop products such as vegetables, fruits etc in the
market. Due to improper markets, many crops produced by the villagers of the hills get spoiled.
She said that as there is no proper market to sell the products, many villagers of the hill choose an illegal way for their means of livelihood. As such, the State Government should take up necessary measures for
the construction of a proper market so that the various products produced by the villagers are not
spoiled.
She lauded the Phalee village for organising such an old-age festival with the objective to preserve the culture passed by their forefathers. Let us extend support to such cultural festivals. Our own culture will protect the identity of the tribe or community, she added.
