Tamenglong : Union Minister of Labour and Employment, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav had a brief interaction session with the District Level Officers of Tamenglong and people at the conference hall of mini secretariat, Tamenglong HQ.
Altogether 10 government departments consisting of Employment Exchange, Agriculture, Forest, Health, PHED, PWD,PMAY-G, PMGSY, Social Welfare and Education gave a brief presentation of their respective departments’ achievements and the works that are undertaken in the presence of the Union Cabinet
Minister.
While addressing the DLOs, Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a vision for developing the North East region. He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, all the Cabinet Ministers have to tour every district of the country every three months and make a report and submit it to the concerned Ministry so that every development and opportunity could reach the public.
Through digitalization, communication and connectivity, the present Modi-led Central Government is working for transparency to make the lives of the people better. He also said that Manipur has contributed a lot in building the nation whether it is through sports, music or in nature.
He also said that when he meets with Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, he will address all the queries and demands discussed today. He also requested the officers present to work diligently and ensure transparency so that every scheme and project that is sanctioned by the Central Government reach the common people.
Net connectivity, road connectivity, office infrastructure, lack of staff quarters and shortage of staffs were the main highlights of the interaction program. After the interaction session, the Union Minister also had a brief interaction with the people of Chuilon, Duigailong and Proper Chuilon villages in which he also distributed beneficiaries’ goods of horticulture and soil conservation, CMHT health cards, and sponsorship beneficiaries’ cards under ICCPS for medical treatment, education and nutritional purpose.
While interacting and replying to the queries regarding the delay in declaring the wild life sanctuary in Zeilad, Ziri Makru wild life sanctuary and Buining in Tamenglong district, the Union Minister assured the people gathering that he will try to look into the matter at the earliest.
During the interaction programme, the villagers who got the CMHT card also shared their testimonials in front of the Union Minister for getting the benefits under the leadership of PM Modi. Presentation of traditional dances and songs marked the occasion.
