Cdl/Bpr/Ukl/CCpur (DIO): Hill Leaders Day & Meeyamgi Numit for the month of March in respect of Chandel district was held at the multipurpose hall of Mini Secretariat, DC complex, Chandel on Friday.

As part of the occasion, an awareness programme on food fortification was organised at the venue by the Department of Food Safety, Chandel.

Speaking to media persons, District Food Safety officer, Chandel Brojendro said that such awareness programmes will be organised in different parts of the district. Three FSSAI registration certificates were also distributed to the FBS.

During the programme, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Chandel Md. Firoj Khan gave away various items to beneficiaries under various schemes of different departments.

Under the Agriculture Department, Knapsack Sprayer and Micronutrients were distributed to the beneficiaries.

As usual, different departments like Health, Social Welfare, Agriculture, ICDS, and all the other departments of the district rendered services to many individuals of the district. Free medical check-ups were also conducted by the Health Department at the venue.

Applications of various issues related to developmental works and others were received for further necessary actions. The programme was also attended by SDOs DLOs and other officials of the district.

District Administration, Bishnupur also organised the monthly Meeyamgi Numit at Panchayat Resource Centre, Mini Secretariat.

Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur Lourembam Bikram, accompanied by SDOs and DLOs heard the grievances of around 140 applicants pertaining to CMHT Card, Labour Card, Widow Pension, Old Age Pension and Ration Cards among others.

Speaking at the occasion, Lourembam Bikram stated that the district administration will initiate Outreach Meeyamgi Numit events at the field level soon. The DC also urged the public to imbibe a sense of responsibility towards conservation of common resources in the interest of the future generation.

The Deputy Commissioner also distributed Ration Cards, Disability Certificates, Bank Pass Books, Wheelchairs and other devices on the occasion. Stalls of several line departments were set up to facilitate different concerns of the public.

Ukhrul District Administration also organised its 6th edition of District Hill Leader’s Day and Miyamgi Numit at DRDA Hall, Mini Secretariat, Ukhrul.

District Health Society, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, District Agriculture, ICDS, CAF&PD, Handloom & Textiles, District Social Welfare, District Industrial Corporation, One Stop Centre, PMGSY, PWD, MSPDCL, PHED, UDCRMS, Autonomous District Council and ZEO were some of the major line department among 29 departments present.

During the event, Chunglenmang ADM Ukhrul distributed free school uniforms to 26 schools and white boards to 10 schools under the Education Department. He further handed water pump sets and accessories to 13 beneficiaries of PKMSY schemes under the Horticulture & Soil Conservation Department. Three old age pension cards and two widow cards were also distributed under the Social Welfare Department.

The District Health Society issued 20 Birth & Death certificates and one PMJAY card. The District Social Welfare received 18 old age and old age home applications under MOAPS, CMST and CMWPS.

CAF&PD also received two applications for NFSA ration cards.Veterinary & Animal Husbandry received one application for NLM scheme and Commerce & Industry received six applications for MSME scheme. On the other hand, the district Revenue Department gave out 20 certificates of Birth Order. Out of 200 people who attended the event, 57 locals were registered and 122 grievances/applications were received.

Today’s programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner Ukhrul i/c Chunglenmang ADM, Ningsem Vashum, IPS, SP of Ukhrul, Shangam IFS, Forest, Amit Khaler, IFS, ACF, Suranjoy Maibam Singh, SDO Ukhrul, Rohini Kumar AC to DC, Mangminlen Vaiphei, SDO & ADM Jessami among others.

The District Administration, Churachandpur also organised District Hill Leaders’ Day and Meeyamgi Numit at the Multipurpose Hall, Mini-Secretariat Complex, Tuibong.

Deputy Commissioner Churachandpur Sharath Chandra Arroju, joined by all District Level Officers and Officers from line departments interacted with the people to ensure that the grievances of the people were addressed adequately. He distributed eight water pumps with micro-irrigation equipments from the Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department, 29 Kgs of Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria (Bio fertilizers) to eight beneficiaries from the District Agriculture Office, school uniforms to three schools apart from interacting and addressing the different complaints of the public.

As a part of the programme, 44 different government departments set up tables. Vaccination programmes and health check-up counters were set up by the Health Department. About ­­60 persons were provided free medical check-ups. 25 persons were given anti-rabies vaccination by the Vety & Animal Husbandry Department.

A total of 13 complaints/applications were received out of which eight were resolved on the spot and four were still pending. Altogether 112 services provided to the public today.
