Imphal: Strongly decrying the IED blast at the residence of H. Kalyani Devi, wife of Nandeibam Ingocha Singh at Thangmeiband Muji Leirak on February 26, members of THAU Meira Paibi Lup (TMPL) and Muji Khul staged a sit-in-protest at Thangmeiband Meisnam Leikai on Monday. Talking to reporters, TMPL Secretary Naorem Memcha, while strongly condemning the powerful bomb explosion, urged whoever is concerned not to repeat such barbaric acts in the future.
She said that if there is any enmity between them then they could bring an amicable solution through negotiation and dialogue. The explosion made panic to the localities. The protesters held various placards which read, “We want peace”, “We condemn bomb explosions in the locality”, ” Do not create panic among the public” etc.
