Imphal: The Police Department has detained 94 persons and collected fines of Rs. 31,850 for violating Covid related guidelines and restrictions issued by the State Government and the State Disaster Management Authority, on Thursday.
The detainees were later released after warning.
The Police Department has also warned that those who violate the guidelines and restrictions shall be dealt with strong legal action under National Disaster Management Act, 2005 and other appropriate laws.
The Police Department also collected a cumulative fine of Rs.2,53,85,790 from 1,54, 734 cumulative violators, as of the day.
